Hypnosis to Stop Smoking
Can Hypnotherapy help stop you from smoking?
In 1992, New Scientist magazine published an article assessing and comparing all the different methods of quitting smoking. The research was carried out at the University of Iowa, and statistically combined the results of more than 600 studies covering almost 72,000 people from America, Scandinavia and elsewhere in Europe. It looked at 48 studies into hypnosis, which covered over 6000 smokers, and concluded: “Hypnosis is the most effective way of stopping smoking“. – All these years later, this statement is still true.
Hypnosis works at the subconscious level to allow the client to discover the causes of the cravings and then to shift focus to positive feelings and associations to eliminate the desire to smoke.
Ask yourself this question: “On a scale of 1 to 10 how much do I really want to be smoke free?”
Hypnosis will help you to stop smoking by helping you discover the sub-conscious needs that smoking gives you. These needs are then replaced by alternative, positive suggestions thus creating a strong image of yourself as a person who has no desire to smoke.
Apart from the obvious and immediate health benefits, a simple calculation of the weekly amount of money spent when compounded over a few decades will definitely confirm you made the right decision and may even pay for your retirement.
Depending on the length of time you have been smoking , the age when you started and, most importantly, your desire to quit smoking, you could be smoke free in a short time.
